Nikki Cates is an AI-Era Recalibration Strategist, Army veteran, public intellectual, and the founder and CEO of Strategic Transformations. With two decades of operational leadership experience, she has built a practice at the intersection of organizational health, AI adoption, and the human systems that hold workplaces together, particularly the mid-level leaders most responsible for holding it all up.
Nikki is the creator of the UNMASK Leadership Architecture, a proprietary diagnostic suite designed to surface what conventional organizational assessments miss, specifically the structural conditions that produce burnout, friction, and talent loss. She is also the architect of the Frictionless Manager Bootcamp, a cohort-based training experience equipping managers to lead with clarity and sustainability through AI-era transitions.
Her consulting practice, Strategic Transformations, serves organizations navigating the human cost of technological change. She is also the founding director of the URI Recalibration Institute, the parent entity housing Unbothered Resistance International, her womanist theology and justice-centered research wing operating at the intersection of faith, structural analysis, and leadership formation.
